WhatsApp is the most used communication platform in the world. We run the WhatsApp application on the Internet and are used for chatting, sending/receiving multimedia files, and audio/video calls. It is also a well-developed application that uses end-to-end encryption, which means your data is protected by end-to-end encryption.
Initially, WhatsApp has its own way of communicating with friends and family, sharing files, and more. You can create groups and invite someone to join, or you can even add someone to the group without their permission.
So, I think you will not allow to add yourself to the group without your permission, right? None of us have added ourselves to another person for a moment, whether he knows it or in anonymity, in a group of WhatsApp groups, even without his permission or joining that group also received notice of acceptance.
These groups are often formed for the purpose of trading, providing services, or displaying products and most of us hate being part of an unwanted group and consider quitting these groups. But only if they feel embarrassed when they leave.
This is really annoying and you just want to prevent anyone from joining the group on WhatsApp, so if you are looking for ways to prevent people from joining WhatsApp groups, You’re in the right place.
In this guide, I will show you my personal experience that how do I stop someone from adding you to a group on Whatsapp in simple steps.
How do I stop someone from adding me to a WhatsApp group?
You can prevent someone, whether you know them or not, from adding you to WhatsApp groups, with some simple settings that you set in your app privacy section.
This setting allows you to customize who can add you to WhatsApp groups, and this means you can allow specific people who can add you to WhatsApp groups. Or block everyone from adding to any WhatsApp group.
Here are some simple steps you can take to block anyone who adds you to the WhatsApp group.
- Open a WhatsApp
- Then click Three dots on the Right or left of the screen (depending on the language of the request) and open “Settings”
- Press the first option Account > Privacy > Groups
- By default, “Everyone” will be selected. Now you can change the preference as per your wish options ( Everyone) and ( My Contacts ) and ( Except My Contacts )
Who can add you to WhatsApp groups?
Identify each of the three options:
Everyone: any WhatsApp user can add you to a group without your permission
My Contacts: Only people whose numbers you have saved in your contacts list on your phone and who have an account in the WhatsApp application.
Except my contacts: Choose who can add you to any WhatsApp group to get more permissions and delete contacts you don’t want to add to a group.
You can choose from the last three options that are right for you, then press “Done” to save the settings. Now you have done!
The group administrator can send you invitations via links to appeal to them to join the group. Even after modifying the privacy settings as in previous steps.
But this time, you will decide whether to join these groups or not and now you will see a big difference.
